India, Qatar and Five Others Bid for 2036 Olympics
In an official announcement from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), it has been stated that seven countries, namely Qatar, India, South Africa, Germany, Hungary, Türkiye, and South Korea, have put themselves up as potential hosts for the 2036 Summer Olympic Games. The process of bidding involves showing sufficient proof of financial stability, political support, and an athlete-centric approach, with the list of bidders to be finalized in March 2027, and the host nation to be declared by mid-2029.
